This is my first time visiting this small bookstore. I was very excited to see a bookstore in Macon. The associates were friendly and helpful and helped my daughter find the book that she wanted called Warriors. They were very low-keyed and relaxed and the music was beautiful and we purchased two books, and I will definitely return again!
Great and knowledgeable staff. You can even shop online.and not use amazon. It's fantastic.
We shop here all the time. It's a great used book store that also has new stock as well. You can sell them your old books for store credit, then use that credit for future purchases. The only thing I dont like about the store credit program is when using it to purchase other books, you can't use store credit for 100% of the purchase... only 50%.
If you've ever gone into a library and wished you could take a book home with you permanently Gottwals Books is for you. Unlike chain bookstores Gottwals has a personal service to help you find whatever you wish to read. The atmosphere is relaxing and you are encouraged to take your time browsing. They even offer many sitting areas so you can peruse the literature. A great place e to take a load off and then take some very affordable books home for later.
Very helpful staff. They have a new layout now, they remodeled.
