Loud noise this morning coming from the engine compartment just when we were planning to go home. Called 2 local Ford dealers, they didn't even think of just looking at my F150. Called Scott, who said to bring it in and he would look to see if he could do something. He was able to squeeze this job in and get me fixed and on our way home. I know businesses do have full schedules but to not even look at this on an emergency basis was wrong on the dealers. We visit the Cape a lot so, I will definitely use Station Ave Sunoco before others for any services that might arise when here. It was nice to be treated like a local when it mattered.

I purchased 4 tires with mounting included here in June, I decided to support a local business with my stimulus check instead of going to a tire chain store, had a good experience, and have continued to support this business by buying my gas there weekly even though it’s higher priced than other gas stations I could easily go to. But today changed all that. During an oil change at another location earlier today I was informed that I needed to get back to the purchase location of my new tires immediately, because all 4 directional tires were mounted inside out. This is bad for the tires, results in bad handling and traction, and is dangerous in wet conditions! So I hurry to Sunoco before it closes to tell them I need this done today or tomorrow because I’m planning to drive long distance in 2 days. When I get there the gas attendant tells me the owner/mechanic is working but is on a quick test drive and will be right back, ok I can wait. A few min later the attendant says he feels bad for my wait and calls Scott, the owner/mechanic, to tell him what I’m waiting for, then comes back and tells me “Nope, he’s gone now and just started his vacation, so you’ll have to come back in 3 days” I tell him I need to drive long distance in 2 days and have a safety issue he created, I want it fixed and I want the owners phone number. He couldn’t have escaped very far, it was still business hours and the repair bay doors were wide open. This would have been a max 20-30 min fix of his mistake. Attendant says he’s not allowed to give out his phone number, but he nicely calls him again. This time the owner hangs up on him while I’m standing there watching. Unbelievable. Now I have annavoidable car safety problem on a holiday weekend while I’m trying to travel, and I probably won’t find anyone else (that I’ll have to pay) that will able to fit me in. Thanks Sunoco! So when considering doing business here, keep in mind the owner/mechanic might vanish when you need help, he obviously cares little about putting his own employee and a customer in an awkward position, while he’s being shifty. Not to mention that he cares more about starting his supposed vacation than he cares about your safety in a car that he made unsafe!

Scott the owner and top mechanic is able to handle anything my BMW puts me through. Smart and HONEST. Almost impossible to find in a mechanic!

Just stopped there to see if they still do inspections. I had an ok experience there last year- the waiting room is basically a dirty closet with benches but they were quick and polite. This year I called first and no one answered. I got there and before I went in I noticed a man inside counting money with no mask on (despite the sign on the door recommending the use of a mask to prevent spread of coronavirus). I decided to wait outside because I figured he would put his mask on when he was done. He finished and left the building, ignoring me. There was no one inside. What was I supposed to do? I left. Terrible service. At least say hello to me after I have been waiting and find out why I am there.
