I was reluctant after looking at admission prices but honestly it may have been the best 5 hours we spent on this trip!nnAmazing construction and use of space, the path seemed never ending! I loved the perfectly spaced restroom stops for the kids and the outstanding variety of wildlife from the sea, fresh water, land and sky. The sport fishing hall of fame is also woven into all that is going on with lots of awesome exhibits and stories from the history of sport fishing including tackle and gear. All the animals and fish were in well, kept habitats and designed for you to see them in ways you may not have seen them before! The kids LOVED the stingray encounter area at the end!nnAnother clever idea was the short films scattered throughout the journey to allow you time to sit down and take a break if needed and the snack bar.nnOverall we were extremely impressed and will recommend this place to to others!

The main aquarium was really awesome. They made amazing use of how you walk through the exhibits. Be warned there is a decent amount of walking. The second exhibit is attached to the rear of the store, that one is less exciting. A large amount of walking just for taxidermy and fake animals, you should just go to a zoo for that portion. However, the Native American section at the beginning of the second exhibit is absolutely amazing. I'm talking paintings, clothing, history, facts, pretty cool stuff. But after walking the whole aquarium, your feet will be killing you already making the second exhibit more of a challenge to just get off your feet and want to leave. All in all, really amazing and worth the admission and time investment.

A wonderful surprise that offered far more than we were expecting to be honest. We have been to many a museum and aquarium as we are avid travelers and love historic things. When we were in the area, this location kept popping up as a popular thing to do so we decided to add it to our list, and boy are we glad we did.nnThe location was far larger than we were expecting. It did cost more than we anticipated, but once inside and seeing all it had to offer, it made sense as to why the price point was higher. The first portion we covered was the museum. They had a ton of exhibits that varied in their presentation style and offerings. We especially loved all of the taxidermy animals that were posed in 'natural' scenes and overall just really well done.nnAfter the museum we headed into the aquarium portion which was just as vast and engrossing as the museum. Personally I fell in love with the shipwreck scene and stingray touch zone, but there was plenty more than that to offer!! I am a HUGE fan of birds of prey and they had a small section with owls and an eagle that I could have stood in for hours.nnThey do a fun picture scene at the beginning of your adventure, so be sure to check out your photo package for a fun souvenir. Very reasonably priced at $28 for a couple of backgrounds, or $38 for the photos with a frame and a digital print copy offer.nnThe staff was incredibly friendly throughout the entire area. There were staff to ask questions to at several of the animal areas if you are curious about something the placards don't cover off on.nnOverall: A++nWonderful experience and a must-do for anyone looking for a fun filled time!! We will be back for sure if we ever head back to the area!

This place was amazing!! It not only has a total of 1.5 million gallons of water in all aquariums combined, it had great historical artifacts from all over the world. Unbelievable education on preservation and history of animals.Taxidermy and live animals Price point is spot in for the time you will spend in there. 3.5-4 hours spent at a pace that we stopped and looked all exhibits things about history to our kids and took pictures. That does not include time growing in Bass Pro Retail store. There are interactive exhibits for all ages and more time could be spent if you stop and watch the showings of videos, which we did not do. There are two entrances into this. One entrance takes you through the Natural History museums where you look and learn about African and Native American cultures. Another entrance is for Aquarium only . There is a stingray petting area at the very end of the tour. There is a seafood restaurant inside the entrance to the aquarium. It is attached to the Bass Pro Shop and next to the Catalog Outlet Store and Hemingway's. Plan to spend an entire morning or afternoon. Have fun!!!

This an amazing aquarium/zoo/museum. It’s more expensive than most, but you can see where the funds went into. And it’s very very long, which is good thing considering the price. There are two attractions included in the ticket purchase and they make a strong effort to see the entire experience as enjoyable and informative. My only criticism is the lack of signs, I don’t know what every animal is. Even where there were signs they often didn’t include all the creatures in the exhibit. This was true for both live and preserved specimens. I’d just like to know what everything I’m looking at is.
