I wasn’t going to write a review but after sitting on the issue for a few days I decided I needed to. I’m disappointed in the lack of care and accommodation by a company claiming to provide support to children who need therapy.nnI received paperwork prior to my appointment, which I completed and added to stating my daughter is unable to wear a mask due to sensory issues. She’s not even 3, and I was relieved to be told we would figure out a solution.nnWe went ahead with the hour long assessment with your company. At the end, I was shocked to learn your company cannot help my daughter in person unless she wears a mask. I was offered virtual visits, but this will not work for us. With the agreement of my daughters pediatrician, we have exhausted all of our at home therapy options.nnMy child is being evaluated for autism and found to benefit from therapy, but you’re not going to do it the way my daughter will be comfortable and get the most out of it. I hope you are able to find a solution for future children, as this is likely a common problem and virtual therapy isn’t practical for many children like my daughter.nnWe will be seeking speech therapy elsewhere with professionals ready and able to handle children unable to wear a mask.nnEdit: I see your comment back. Tell me how it was ok to charge 250 dollars for an evaluation in person for an hour in which MY DAUGHTER DID NOT WEAR A MASK... I even told your company PRIOR that she had issues wearing a mask. Why did you accept her in the door without one for that appointment? didn’t that put your employers in jeopardy then? Absolutely asinine comment back.nnHope everyone that reads this realizes there’s other options out there for speech besides this company! One in which my daughter is attending now and they are absolutely amazing. Before wasting your time here, explore your options.

I am sure I can speak on some families behalves, the one's who have children with special needs. This miraculous way of life sometimes can be extremely stressful on a regular basis. Then we find out therapies are out there and able to help parents and children learn how to cope & learn how to learn with this special way of being different.nI cannot elaborate enough for Soundstart, simply because truly we have been through so many agencies, companies and therapists and it was all because of scheduling. In general, lives can be very busy... well then add 16 appointments in one week with ABA, Speech, OT & PT!nAlayna is absolutely phenomenal and deserves recognition from the Owner of Soundstart because she has helped my family not only stay with the therapies but actually feel comfortable as well. I hate being a pain, but I have been but truthfully - it is because there are just too many therapies and not enough time. Not only is there an amazing receptionist, which is where the service begins with but the Therapists are *can't even find a word that suits them...* Astonishingly Remarkable.nOur daughter has learned in one week with Soundstart more than what TWO other companies have not been able to teach her in MONTHS. Linda, Allysa, Ciara, Carrie, Matthew (hope I am spelling all of these correctly! Forgive me if I am not) thank you from the bottom of this family's heart. We are having an amazing experience and consider ourselves blessed to be able to watch our autistic daughter blossom, learn and be who she is meant to be all the while, learning about ourselves too. You deserve more than these words, I hope Soundstart realizes just how amazing you people are. -Miller Family.

For starters: we have trying to get a schedule for 3 months. We were told a new therapist was starting in June and we would be the first to be setup. This never happened. Always been a struggle to get speech in which our son needs.nnSecond and the dealbreaker: don’t lie about insurance covering expenses. If the insurance was covering it there would be no bill. Partial coverage partial bill ... easy. More to that if you did lie about the coverage and you see the bill amount piling up, perhaps you should let them know before they accrue 3 months worth... decent therapy appalling business practices.nnI feel as if you have taken advantage of a family in need. Considering the profession at hand, that’s about the worst thing you could possibly do.

Ms. Lopez was very professional and caring. She related extremely well with my son and he is showing steady improvement. I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing services.

This therapist is fantastic with children! She has a lot of experience and provides practical solutions. A dream to work with. Would definitely recommend her to others!
