This is a great place to help for our community. My family and I come here monthly on Tuesdays to get assistance with food when money is tight in certain times of the month. All of the volunteers we as a family have interacted with are incredible and make you feel like it's ok to ask for help. That is a very nice feeling due to many places, even though their purpose is to assist those in the community specifically. NOT HERE but our family has been looked down upon at mainly 2 other places in this community. That's a hard pill to swallow considering the purpose is to help those in the community who are struggling. Never at Highland on Tuesdays when pantry is open has my family left there feel inadequate by any means. Great place to get assistance if truly needed. Treat those working with you/your family with kindness. Remember those volunteers don't have to show up, not help get items to your home or carried up the stairs to your vehicle. Say thank you.

Ppl are always welcoming you with open arms. Great service, give good food at foid pantry too

They have a food pantry and financial help on Tuesdays. You have to get there early. They have a good system for processing this service and people to help you carry out your items to your car. You check off what you want from the list you're handed at the door. You're called by numbers for picking out your shelf items while people are preparing a box of other food items from the back. Then when your number is called they carry out your items to put in your car.

Winchester Area NAACP meets there every 2nd Saturday at 10 a.m. Everyone is welcome. We accomplish a lot.

I was welcomed with open arms these volunteers were so helpful and friendly its awesome they worked as a Team maybe they should go visit other places in the community and show them how a little bit of Nice goes along way !!!! Amen for all the wonderful men and women who make the world a better place
