Our visit was on 3/24/2021. Amazing food, waiter and drinks from the restaurant. The hotel is so beautiful and very clean. Great downtown location.nnThe front desk lady wasn't so pleasant though. We checked in around 7:00 p.m.nnThe bartender in the lounge was rude. He slid napkins towards us and stepped back and never acknowledged us. We left and went to our room.nnThese are the two reasons for the 4 star instead of 5.

We checked in and went to our room, only to find the TV on, some open suitcases on the bed and I'm pretty sure the shower running (I didn't stick around long enough to find out). After explaining the situation to the front desk, they questioned when I made my reservation (5 days prior) and then took about an hour and a half to get us another room. We have stayed here 3 times, only 1 of these stays has gone smoothly. Our previous stay in one of their high end suites ended with water from the room above dripping into the bathtub as my wife was taking a bath. If there was an option to leave 0 stars, I'd chose that one.

Parking not free for guests. Lobby bartender was rude. Ordered the wedge salad, it came without some ingredients listed and added ingredients that were not listed. It looked thrown together without care, so tasted like it looked. Moscow mule, pretty simple drink, tasted like sink water.nWhen we checked in we were told They had no cleaning people that night (Friday?!) and the boss and sales people were upstairs cleaning rooms so we downgraded but they gave us a small discount. It sucks they don't have staff I guess.nThe pool looks a lot better in pics. Didn't go in but went to see it & No thanks.nThis place is dated and needs renovations bad. Should have done it during covid but neglected. It's really the only place with great location for walking to the one central area with bars and shops in town if you're visiting.. so they're either taking advantage of that or just lazy. Wouldn't recommend but it's really your only option so good luck!

We have stayed here twice now and we love this place. The rooms are nicely appointed, comfortable beds, people great, all good. Beautiful hotel! Highly recommend!

My family and I were very happy with our recent stay at the George Washington. The staff was friendly and practiced great safety precautions. The room was clean, beautiful, and spacious. The hotel has a fabulous location, being walking distance to many restaurants and stores. The only 2 negatives were: the sofa bed was very uncomfortable for my teenage daughters and the pool water was a bit chilly (I would recommend that they increase the temp since the hot tub is closed). Overall we were very happy with our stay and would encourage others to stay at this hotel and to visit this fun, charming town!
