Church of the Holy Spirit

This church is all about the community. They give food to kids in the summer months. They have a few nice rummage sales too. And it's a beautiful church.

I came to this church without expectations.nThe first issue was they are having a Eucharist where they have a community cup which is outrageous with our knowledge today. Herpes simplex, NE virus, HIV, hepatitis, herpes simplex is transmitted through the mouth. What are they thinking, waiting a cup with a cloth does not eliminate these germs! Small cups are used in today's world The assistant, a woman, was leading the service today, October 8th, 2017. Her sermon started off fine but then it degraded to her speaking against the Second Amendment of property ownership and being able to defend oneself. Her personal communistic ideology does not belong in the pulpit. Then she continued to speak about her personal ideology of stronger gun laws and told us all to write to our President & Congressmen. That platform of a reverend/priest is not a forum for personal political agenda. Those of us educated in history understand her ideology leads to Communism not a better world. The Bible States: let a man earn enough to provide for his family and to share with others. It does not say give up your right of ownership and the right to defend yourself.nI will never return to this church with this offensive assistant because I don't want to hear someone's political agenda--I come to hear God's word and worship. She needs to educate herself about the Biblical idea that the condition of the heart is what promotes crimes, not the weapon of choice. A bomb would have caused the same destruction. The shooting was done by a man with a clean background and would have been approved for as many weapons as he wanted; I speak with respect, however, this persons misplaced platform and naivety is very evident.
