Spectrum Physical Therapy

I visited Spectrum physical therapy (forest lake, 1622 Timberwood Blvd) in September 2020 because I had severe pain in my both hands due to which I was unable to hold even a glass of water by either of my hand. The pain started in May 2020 and I visited my primary care doctor followed by hand specialist doctor who referred to physical therapy. First I went to physical therapy in UVA but had bad experience there bcoz instead of treating hands the therapist gave massage on my neck and I got severe pain in my neck which lasted long time in the form of recurring neck pain. Then I tried Chiropractor services but it didn't worked well for me. Then I googled and visited spectrum physical therapy where I met Kimberly Thruston (Kim) who is occupational therapist and specialist in hands. She immediately identified my cause of the pain in hands (which was nerve compression) and advised me the precautions which I need to take to avoid further progression of nerve compression. She gave me exercises to do and within 2 months my hands got better and I was back to my normal life. Identifying cause of problem is a Doctor's job which in my case the doctors didn't do it well and I was saved by Kim who has 20+ years of experience in handling hand problems. Thank you Kim, you saved me from surgery. Since I was also having neck pain which didn't allowed me to sit for long time, I asked Kim for suggesting suitable physical therapist for my neck problems and she advised to meet Kellie Crutcher who also works in Spectrum. She gave me neck exercises to do and within 2 months I started feeling much better. Thank you Kellie, now my neck issues are manageable and I expect within few weeks I will be back to normal. I am also thankful to Catherine (PT, Spectrum) who assisted Kellie in identifying additional cause of my neck pain which were the ribs near neck). I am also thankful to Kellen, Fatima, Derek for assisting me in doing the exercises and Mellisa for scheduling and re-scheduling my appointments according to my suitable timings. Thank you Spectrum.

Erin at Hollymead Spectrum Physical Therapy is a very thorough and caring person. She is patient and I was so happy I found her.

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. You feel welcomed when you come through the door. There is a Spectrum closer to me, but I choose to drive to the forest lakes location for the excellent service.

I am an active 75 year old that has done physical therapy over the years in California, Connecticut and Virginia. Spectrum Forest Lakes is the best physical therapy I have experienced. From the front desk to the evaluation to every session I have each staff member is very professional and very personable.

I love going to Spectrum Therapy on 29N! There is something about this place that always puts me in a good mood . . . well it's the great STAFF who are all so UPBEAT and friendly! My knee keeps getting better and better, but I don't want to stop my PT!
