I have been in great care under Dr. Malik for over 2 years. He doesn’t sugar coat the issues but it kind and caring. The NPs in the office are also great. I highly recommend this practice.

I am an RN at Obici Hospital and I have had the privilege of working with Dr. Malik on several cases. The five star rating represents the positive feedback I have received from his patients regarding the care and attentiveness he has given them. In addition, we appreciate his hard work and dedication to the field of Gastroenterology and he is a great pleasure to work with and learn from. Thank you, Dr. Malik!

Last endoscopy I had he totally ignored me the patient and only spoke to my husband ABC's when I tried to speak he walked away not wanting to hear anything I said. So if you can't talk to the ACTUAL patient you can't speak to my husband like a tattletale. Had no idea what the results of the egd were or why I was told to have a CT SCAN WITHIN CONTRAST IODINE WHEN I'M DEATHLY ALLERGIC AND IT'S IN MY CHART. WHEN I TRIED SAYING SOMETHING HE HELD UP HIS HAND AS IF TO TELL ME TO TALK TO THE HAND, VERY DISSATISFIED WITH THE TREATMENT

Dr Malik was so kind to me while I was hospitalized at Obici. He listened to me and helped me when it seemed so one would. He got me into the hands of another GI that he knew could help with my specific and large medical needs. He is a gem.

I had been a patient for the past few years and had recommended my son to him. My son was scheduled for a procedure and I had no knowledge of it until the Friday evening before the Monday that he was scheduled to have the procedure done when he asked if I could drop him off and pick him up . My concern about visiting Medical Facilities and anywhere else during the Covid-19 outbreak. (High risk individuals and children in household). I also had concerns of him being alone in a Doctors office with me not being able to sit in the waiting room due to the fact that I had a family member in another state to walk into a Doctors office alone for a scheduled procedure and went into cardiac arrest and his wife did not find out until hours later after receiving a call from the hospital that he was rushed in and was deceased. A staff member had him to return my sons phone call and first of all that started off unprofessional when he addressed my son as MY BOY. He was very rude to him when he stated he wanted to cancel his appt due to concerns of the spread of Covid-19 and responded to my son that if the virus is gonna spread then it's gonna spread. That was unprofessional as well and he also stated to my son that it was not right to cancel an appointment the morning of an appointment and that he would be billing him anyway. I could not just not voice my opinion about it. I decided to reach out to him via email from my chart about this situation. He returned my call that evening asking me what did I want him to do and telling me that my son is 26 years-old and went on and on. My response to him was I wanted him to apologize to my son which he never did. I expressed my concerns about the spread of Covid-19 which he wasn't trying to hear. The conversation got so out of hand I stated to him that I would be reporting this situation and kindly hung up the phone on him. He decided to respond via email almost 24hrs somewhat apologizing to me and stating he did understand my concerns. I do have the proof I need while filling this complaint and I will never recommend another to him. I'm currently scheduled to see another Gastroenterologist in August. By the way my son did receive a $35 non cancelation bill.
