Silver Lake Bed and Breakfast

This place is absolutely beautiful and it’s the perfect romantic getaway for a couple. It’s on a old vineyard/farm and it’s so peaceful. The couple who own/run the bed and breakfast are so nice. Breakfast was always amazing too. We loved everything about this place, down to the soap that they put in the bathroom!! Will definitely be coming back

Eh, it was ok. Bed part good, breakfast part lacking. No problems with checking in and bed was comfortable. Not sure what an “electric light fireplace” is but in our room it was a spotlight on the mantle. Food wasn’t great, they served sausage 3 mornings in a row, never any sides like grits or potatoes or fruit. Ran out of OJ. Really basic white toast as the only side. The French toast was good, sausage and onion omelet really dry and next day sausage and onion quiche, fine, but how many times can you eat sausage with onion? The fresh coffee wasn’t good and they didn’t have cream available with the self serve coffee throughout the day. If your looking to get to know the owners, they were very low key and mostly MIA, which was fine for us.

The Silver Lake Bed & Breakfast is an absolutely STUNNING place to stay AND host a wedding! My husband (then fiance) and I needed a place to host our small COVID wedding this past June. Katie and Ryan (the couple who runs the place) were so incredibly accommodating and willing to work with us! They offered us three beautiful locations as possible ceremony sites: one on top of a hill beneath an arbor with the mountainous landscape in the background, one in the front yard framed by gorgeous trees and the house in the back, and one inside the house with wooden detail and old fashioned decor. We were able to set up a table for light refreshments and have our guests mingle on the wrap-around porch outside. Katie and Ryan were always available to help but also gave us our space to arrange things how we wanted. We stayed in the Homestead Suite that night which was SUCH a treat! There was plenty of space for all of our stuff, an amazing whirlpool tub, and gorgeous views from all the windows. The next morning, we were awoken to the smell of a delicious breakfast at the perfect time! We love the idea of embracing community and eating with others, but unfortunately, no other guests were there during our stay. We would have loved to get to know other travelers and are grateful that Silver Lake offers that opportunity! We would DEFINITELY recommend Silver Lake Bed & Breakfast for an overnight stay or hosting a beautiful wedding!

We travel frequently between Pennsylvania and Tennessee. Silver Lake B and B is one of favorite accommodations close to I-81. The atmosphere is comfortable, quaint, and charming. The Inn is located in a peaceful farm land setting. I love sitting on the wrap around porch drinking coffee in the morning watching the cows graze in the fields. Breakfast is always delightful and delicious and made with fresh locally sourced ingredients (whenever possible). I like that the inn keepers are eco-conscious and use real plates, glassware and flatware, as well as refillable shampoo/conditioner bottles in each room's private bathroom. I would rather stay at this lovely inn than any hotel chain any day!

Sweet, rustic building with tasteful decor, friendly folks running the place, and comfy beds. Great place to relax and turn the phone off for a weekend!
