Beautiful historic property. Lots of lawn for the kids to run around and have a picnic with a view of the river. Only a few rooms of the house are open to the public, but we enjoyed the history lesson.

I knew this place as the location of the first Thanksgiving, but it is so much more. It seems to have more firsts than any other single place in America. The guides and inturpritors are great and sometimes you can even keep a historic artifact you find laying on the ground.

The Berkeley Plantation house is beautiful. There are two options based on what you wish see at the house. We toured the grounds, saw the small basement museum, and watched the video about the history of the house for $10 per person. You can also pay a bit more to tour the inside of the house as well. We were pressed for time, so we did not go inside. The museum is small and contains artifacts found on the plantation grounds. Another video can be found in the basement. The museum and videos were not very interesting to me. I did enjoy strolling the grounds. The gardens and view of the water was beautiful. I enjoyed taking pictures.

It's an amazing place to go see. They even had a corn maze there. I would not recommend the tour - the lady giving it was talking way to long about things that did not matter about the house - worst guide I ever had unfortunately.
