The company is impossible to get a hold of. They have everything so automated you can’t speak to a human being. When I tried to discontinue service, they wanted to charge $70 to pick up the trashcan. They claimed it was in the contract that I signed. they trap you into doing business with them even when you are not satisfied.nDon’t make the same mistake that I did. If there is another service in your area choose the other company.

They have ruined the air and lord knows what foul stuff is draining into our water from that place. The smell of the place when the weather is still or the wind could gag a maggot. Why isn't the EPA or the citizenry complaining more vehemently? Oh, that's right, there was a big dollar deal by our illustrious government to allow not just Virginia garbage, but garbage from where is it, New York, New Jersey and where else? AND/Or elsewhere?nnTHE SMELL... Dear God, I hope our water isn't contaminated. Housing in the area... Wells... Smell... Not the ideal spot to raise a family, especially now. And I'm not even an Environmentalist... Just an average citizen with some common sense.

Ok i guess... they should put a sign about not unstraping the load before scale house,.. or a warning for the first time. ..instead of making someone strap again like little kids,. For what i heard... inside landfill they pretty organized..

I worked for a local Waverly welding contractor back in the early 2000's when I moved to the area with my now ex-wife who grew up there. Waste Management in Waverly was one of the company's primary customers so nearly everyday there would be a small crew sent out there to weld on equipment, fabricate things or whatever else was needed. I was often a part of these crews and got an inside look at how that place operated. It is unreal the amount of environmental atrocities committed by this outfit on a daily basis. I have witnessed tanker trucks bringing in leachate which is a toxic chemical that runs out of landfills if not properly contained and contaminates ground water and everything else in the area for miles around. They would dump this stuff into the landfill from other areas. The smell is something other worldly, I have never smelled anything so absolutely demoralizing in my life but they trucked it in there nonetheless. They brought in rail cars from New York and other far off places full of garbage, sometimes incinerated, sometimes not and dumped it all in there. Aside from that, the management of the facility were a bunch of jerk-offs who eventually conspired with my employer and had me fired because one of the guys who was buddy, buddy with the general manager was my boss' brother-in-law and he thought I was having an affair with his wife. Pfffftttttt..... Anyway, it was a bad scene there back then, they may have cleaned up their act in the past 13 years but it's highly doubtful. The smell generated from that place when I would drive in to Waverly from Petersburg early of a morning along Rt. 460 was enough to stop an army in it's tracks causing them to vomit profusely. I feel sorry for the poor folks of Waverly, VA who have to live in the shadow of this environmental travesty. I moved back home out of state after I lost my job with the welding contractor, that was the final straw. My wife had left and I had no reason to stay. My experience living in VA for a little more than a year was not a good experience at all and Waste Management in Waverly certainly didn't leave me regretting my decision to move back home..........
