Went to velocity care yesterday had had the worst experience. Not only did the dr not so an xray (claiming there was nothing they could do even though it is a fact that when I went in for the same thing just a few weeks prior they had done an xray then) he was the most condensing man I have ever met. Not only did he put blame on me for alot of it he also kept inturupting and pretty much selected what he wanted to hear. I have no idea how a dr with such a completely horrid attitude towards patience was ever able to get his degree in the first place but I think a better selection of doctors needs to be used. I will never come back. If I have to to to a velocity care again I will drive an hr or more to do it. Not everyone can afford to go to the er but I guess some drs think we are made of money so off to the er for a simple xray I go.
My husband had a Covid test on December 11th At Lexington Virginia VelocityCare. Today is December 16th and we still did not have results. We called yesterday and today to ask about the results. The receptionist assured me that we will be getting a phone call. Today when I called, I asked them to check on their end about his results? I have been sick since November 16 and tested negative for Covid 3 times. My husband has been sick since Tuesday, December 10th. I was really counting on his results to clarify mine? My doctor says I have all of the symptoms of Covid and I have tested positive for antibodies to the virus. Many of my husbands coworkers have tested positive for Covid, so we really need to know these results. Also, we are in quarantine until we get these results. Luckily we work for the state and can still get paid. I spoke with the manager from the Lexington Virginia velocity care, Mike Leithren. He told me he would file a safe watch for me regarding the failure in communication with his test. He told me if I wanted to file complaint against Quest diagnostics that I had to do it. They had done the test and It came back neither negative or positive. He said that URI (unresolved issues) nurse was supposed to contact us with my husband’s results. After being on the telephone for over two hours, contacting the Quest office in both Chantilly Virginia and Roanoke, Virginia and the URI Nurse and her manager.... I am being told that since the result was neither negative nor positive the manager the velocity care manager, Mr. Mike Leithren was supposed to have notified us about the error in his test. He was emailed about the error in the test on December 14th. Mr. Leithren admits to receiving the email but he says it was the job of the URI nurse to let me know the results??? The URI nurse and her manager both tell me that they report negative and positive results. When the results are neither negative not positive they email the velocity care manager. They say it is his job to contact the patient to let them know that they need to retest. Mr. Leithren Admitted to receiving the email on the 14th, But says he does not notify patients and does nothing with his emails. I was very frustrated after being on the phone for two hours to learn that it all came back to Mr. Leithren. I appreciate the fact that he is filing a safe watch regarding my husband’s case. I am still at this time unsure whether it is the fault of velocity care or the URI office. I suggest to you do not use Lexington Virginia velocity care especially for your Covid testing. I am writing this review because I do not want this it happened anyone else. I plan to file a complaint against whoever is responsible for this, If and when I figure it out. After posting this review on my facebook, I have had several other people confirm that they never received their covid results from Velocitycare in Lexington, VA either..nnUPDATE: After being on the phone half the day yesterday and 1 call this morning, I believe that Quest Diagnostics did everything that they were supposed to do and I will NOT be filing complaint with them.

I had a very unpleasant experience at this Lexington velocity care location. Never have I ever been turned away from a doctors office not wanting to look up my information for my insurance. Last month I had checked into velocity care no problem with my Social Security number at this very same location. But somehow the receptionist destiny could not find me anywhere in their system as I was just there last month so where is your organizational skills on keeping patient records destiny?. As a young 21-year-old who suffers from Very chronic anxiety I don’t have very much options. With the insurance I have. Velocity care is the only place I can go to and can afford to go to to get help for my anxiety and I was turned away. The lack of commitment to your patients to your customers just the fact that you work in a medical Profession you totally dropped the ball destiny!! for all those young people out there that have trouble getting into these kind of clinics don’t hesitate to call these certain people out who are too lazy to look up your information when their coworkers just did the month before. If you are a manager to destiny she was very rude not very friendly and it seemed that it pleased her to send me on my way without being seen. It’s unfortunate that I had to have this unpleasant experience as I had just had a pleasant one last month kudos to whoever was able to pull up my information the first time.
Disturbingly dirty. There was urine splattered all over the bathroom and pooling behind the lid. The lady working check in wasn’t wearing a mask. The male X-ray tech/nurse wasn’t wearing gloves when he opened the packaging on a specimen container. The doctor did not wash his hands for 20 seconds while in front of me before proceeding with the exam.
