Indian Heritage RV Park

We came for a short weekend trip and had a great time. Nice and quiet community. We were on 61. Super easy, no touch check in. It’s pretty much in town which worked for our trip. However, the beautiful river is just right beside the sites. Thanks for the great stay! Martinsville is just 2 miles away and it was neat to see the track.

Real nice and quiet. Several sites overlooking the river that are quite nice. Power and water pressure seem to be good from a technician standpoint. Owners seem to be quite nice people as well

First timers and we had an awesome experience. Nice clean property by the river. Chris the hostess was welcoming, knowledgeable, and a tremendous help. Would stay again.

A bit of background, we recently purchased a toy hauler but have both camped and owned a 37' sailboat so we get it but we are also learning the RV life.nnFor us, we did not want to winterize and store an RV for the winter, we wanted to be able to come/go easily but also have a home base. We decided to look for a campground/RV park within an hour or so from home and feel so blessed that we found Indian Heritage. Michele (the voice on the phone) amazing, Chris and Brenda (camp hosts) amazing. Location is great!nnPros-n~Convenient location for life's necessities-several restaurants, grocery store (Food Lion), Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Planet Fitness and Rural King (OMG, it's amazing!), Walgreens and CVS are within (an uphill) walking distance. Walmart, Kroger and lots of other shopping/restaurants are within a 10 minute drive.n~Ample room. Our site easily holds our 44' toy hauler with patio out, our F350 and my Expedition Max-all with a nice concrete patio pad for our entertainment area. (Do not park on the pad)n~Easy in and outn~Very pet friendly, as long as your pets are friendly.n~No weird, spaced out hookups.n~Water pressure is adequate-40 on our pressure regulator so I don't have it hooked up anymore. I tested the water and I've decided to take out our in line filter to assist with water flow to get a better flow.n~Stable electrical hookup (no weird surges)n~Nice people! We've got great neighbors. Traveling nurses on both sides.n~Park seems to mange, very well, a mix of full timers, longer term and short term stays.n~Site garbage pickup with a dedicated trash can for each site.n~Fire rings and free firewood.n~Maintenance of the grounds goes on every day of the work week and it shows.n~Reasonable rates, IMOnnPotential Cons~n~This will depend an time of year and your RV but road noise could be an issue. This has not been a problem for us but we have a well insulated rig and never sleep with windows open.n~A great family place to stay for exploring the area but not a campground geared to entertain kids

Very nice place. GoodSam park. Friendly people and owners. Clean. Calm and relaxing to sit by the water. Some sites back up to the water, but there is a walkway by the water for all to use. Concrete pads and nice picnic tables. They show that WI-FI is available, but I could not get any connection to work. There is no cable TV, but some over the air stations come in. Redbox and KFC within walking distance.
