Very professional service.

I have been a patient here for 9 yrs. quality of health care runs hot and cold. I have had to go out of network 2 times to get proper care and diagnosis. One time I went out of network could have quickly become life threatening.nnI dealt with back muscle spasms for 3 days and called for an appointment on a Thursday and was told the earliest appointment I could get was a 10 days out. I made the appointment and requested a refill on my prescription to treat the issues until then. Was told they would call me back re refill. They never called me back and following day had to go to hospital ER. There I was prescribed 12 pills because I told them I was going to be seen at NMC Yorktown in 9 days. 7 days later I ruptured the cartilage between my ribs and the muscle spasms were in my chest and effecting my ability to breathe. I called NMC Yorktown again, and again no assistance. I returned to the ER for treatment. Finally, the Monday appointment cane around only to have NMC Yorktown call and cancel my appointment. I immediately returned their call only to leave another message. Called an hour later and left another message. My husband had go to the clinic in person to deal with issue.nnNMC Yorktown has taken their pack off for those retired military that are being transferred 30 May 19 to the Williamsburg Office. The sad thing is that they are supposed to be medical professionals and dedicated to care of human beings and they had thrown all professional morals out the window for a political statement. It’s sad for those that are going to be left in their care.

Very easy to get an appt, on site Lab & x-ray, and easy to consult via email thru their Relay Health.

Whatever you do, DO NOT COME HERE FOR THE OVERSEAS SCREENING. Especially if you're Tricare standard. The ladies her do not know what they are doing. Was told to come back next year in May after my daughter had her shots and I received the LOI in August with a 60 day time frame. They looked confused when I told them there was a time limit. They didn't give me forms I needed when I told them certain things in the beginning. Then when they handed me more forms I needed to sign without telling me exactly what, my child's teacher did exactly what she read and they rejected it. Waited a extra week for my part 2 appointment just for them to tell me I need something else that is #1 not on their requirement form and #2 They could've told me the first day I returned our paperwork when the 3 of them looked confused at it. Just a waste of time. They are clueless. I've never had to catch a attitude with any employees before, but these ladies made me forget about patience. Go to Little Creek, Boone Clinic, or Oceana. Getting my paperwork and going elsewhere.
