The Museum of the Bible is in my opinion, the best museum in DC. The museum itself is beautiful, clean, and modern. The staff are welcoming and courteous, and the main restaurant prepares delicious fair priced meals, although it can be pricey.nnAs for the exhibits showcasing the history of the Bible, some of which are very interactive, they are world class and can be enjoyed by both the average museum goer as well as Bible scholars. At the museum you’ll have the opportunity to view and learn all about the many fascinating historical facts of the Bible and the impact it has had and continues to have on ancient and modern societies. There is enough to see, read, and interact with that you can easily spend an entire day taking it all in.nnLastly, while young children will find many of the interactive Bible exhibits both interesting and entertaining, there is a large specific children’s area where they can spend an hour or more crawling, climbing and playing Bible themed games.nnFor all these reasons and more the Museum of the Bible is well worth your time while visiting DC.
Exquisite.nSo much history. There is absolutely so much to read, experience & discover about the origins of The Word, the various cultures playing during that time, etc.nFrom videos, to artifacts, to excerpts & finely detailed displays, everything is meticulously put together to leave you with so much more than you could possibly take in during one trip.nnLove it! Definitely recommend!!
Highly recommended! Very insightful, informative, and inspiring! The museum structure is beautiful, a true modern architectural gem meshed with a preserved historical exterior façade, the rooftop terrace provides breathtaking views of DC, a nice arrival treat before working your way down through the multiple floors of exhibits. One note for first time visitors, the museum is very large with hours worth of exhibits and artifacts/films/etc., so be sure to set aside at least 4-5 hours to fully enjoy this museum, I will certainly be returning!
Truly world class! The exhibits are incredibly well done and engaging. I left with a better understanding of the context of the Bible and the intent of the stories. The audio and visual experiences were incredibly moving. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.
Amazing experience, outstanding exhibits, very attentive and welcoming staff, top notch cleanliness, and an absolute must do when you are in DC! This museum is great for anyone and is very welcoming to all walks of life. Very impressed and will definitely be back. Thank you to everyone who has put and continues to put very hard work into this amazing museum.
