After working here for over a year I am literally want to give this place no stars. Faculty and staff in charge of taking care of patients here should be shut down immediately. Unethical, unsanitary, unprofessional to state the least. They break HIPPA all day, everyday. Patients here are treated like animals and nothing more. I am sad my first experience with the field of Psychology was from here. No one values the good employees who actually strive to maintain professionalism and ethics.

The hospital lacks a moral compass and core values.nThey do not value the hard work and the great contributions of good employees. Certain vicious women (they are ALL women) break their own rules and are abusive toward underlings. They are supposed to use graduated discipline and warnings and give a person the chance to correct any problems, and they reassure you that this is the case, but then instead they go along with any nasty, petty, vicious nursing supervisor who lashes out at an underling based on some personal dislike or her own frustrations and immaturity, thus allowing her to fire people without warning even as she lies outright about the reasons and claims to have followed graduated discipline when she has not. These women lack moral discernment and decency--they are petty, soulless, corporatist golems who belong permanently in Hell. Put your trust in these people at your peril. They are not trustworthy. They are lying scum.nnThese witches do not follow the hospital requirement that verbal and written reprimands be given first. They simply lie on paper, claiming the warnings were given when they were not. Their filthy, unethical actions mean that the hospital violates its own policies. Their hypocrisy is on full display. The hospital would do well to remove such nasty, toxic, petty and abusive women and actually commit to following its own policies.nnIn addition, the place is dominated by sub-Saharan Africans with very poor English. So, if you are looking to work here, expect that you will be working in Little Africa. Many of the African nurses are fine, however many of the African Psych Techs create interminable chaos and noise--very often more than the patients, and are often lazy and/or bossy toward white nurses. The Africans stick together, so if you aren't African, or, Heaven forbid, you are white and not a liberal who kisses the feet of every minority, you may not feel very comfortable here or feel like there is a truly cohesive team.nnOn the other hand, if you enjoy chaos and noise and lazy coworkers, and if you enjoy being unsafe and constantly under threat of violence from unstable and aggressive patients because the hospital administration cannot get itself together to put effective policies in place to keep staff and patients safe (it is very dangerous here for staff and vulnerable patients alike), and if you don't mind being psychologically abused and unjustly treated or even fired by certain very nasty and vicious nursing supervisors, then you will totally love working here!nnIn all seriousness, this hospital is a sewer and should be shut down.

I spent two days there last month and the food was just trash and some patients there were just insane. My parents have health insurance and were able to afford me to stay at Dominion Hospital in Falls Church for 10 days. Dominion is a lot safer.
