This park has outstanding trails in all directions. If you walk through the neighborhood on the far side of the park you can find your way back to park trails pretty easily for about a 3 mile hike around the lake. It's always nice to visit the dam, and they have great restrooms above the main small parking lot if you follow the trail up behind the picnic areas. The rides and paddle boat rentals are great in the summer. They have events here occasionally like boating races for the kids, but I'm not sure where to find them. The trails connect to miles and miles of biking and walking areas. There is even a cool old train rail above the dam and you can catch a train going by occasionally.

Nice park with plenty of trails for mountain biking or just taking your pups for a walk. Nice open spaces and pavilions to hold events. There's a sandy beach to launch canoes/kayaks from. The best part is how frequently maintained it is. Definitely recommended!nn-1 star because you can't swim in the water

It’s amazing what you’ll find in your own area. I love this place!! I’ve only come in the winter but the trail is so beautiful and is a nice long loop. I hope to come back and update in the warmer months since they offer kayaking and paddle boating on the lake. The dam is really quite a sight!

Boat launch and kayak rental was great(fall 2020) hike bike and fish away in the woods and on the lake. Great place for a family outing. Maybe more fun if you can identify eatable mushrooms hahaha. P.S. need little renovations on the trails.
