Great parking and a friendly staff. This is a newer multilevel location so it's rather nice compared to some other REIs, and I was surprised to see how diligent the staff was with regard to disinfecting.

Great return policy, as always. Brought back a pair of climbing shoes that were a Christmas present and were too small. They sized up a replacement, and swapped it. We even got a partial refund because the price had gone down!

Went to buy a car top carrier. When I took it outside to put on my car it started raining. An employee ran outside and helped me get it on and even took the box for me so I didn’t have to break it down and fit in the back of my car. Great store and great employees

My husband & I went to REI- to buy sneakers @ Tyson corner area, there were 4 customers including us. Katie, sales associate was superb. She handle her position well in taking care of all of us in a timely manner, she made sure that we knew that she will be helping us in due time as she took orders from each one of us, she was articulate knew her product & was pleasant & professional in making sure we were satisfied with the items we were trying on. She even measure my feet! She was helpful in finding one of the sneakers that was on sale for my husband online, wrote down the information so he could hand it to the check-out associate. She is one of kind, she helped everyone individually & answer every questions. REI-has a good handle on hiring people that not only know their merchandise but go the extra mile to help. I hope REI- knows how special Katie is to their business. If there were higher score Katie deserve it b/c she earned it. We told the manager verbally we would've like to write down. That is why we are write in this post.. kudos to Katie, & Rei.....

REI in Tyson’s has an awesome variety of gear and apparel for any outdoor hobbies. Although it’s located off a made road, it’s hidden behind some big buildings which makes it really subtle and gives an exclusive vibe for those in the community who are about that gritty and rugged life that the outdoors has to offer. I went and picked up some new hammock straps and looked at some trail running shoes. Unfortunately the color pattern I wanted for some new lone peak 5’s wasn’t available at the store or online so I decided to hold off on them; however, the guy helping me out was knowledgeable and trustworthy. He seemed very experienced and knew a lot about the quirks of each shoe. I was about to buy the ugly pair of lone peaks just because he helped me out so much and had me convinced. Shout out to Cameron at REI in Tyson’s! Thanks for lookin out brotha. This store is dope and Cameron needs to get paid more (just saying).
