Good parking. Well defined trails. Great views of the Potomac River. Many picnic areas. Kids enjoying the playground. Didn't see a bathroom but it must be somewhere, Park is too busy/big not to have one ud83dude42

Park too urban for nature lovers & bird watchers. Has a nice golf course, picnic pavilions, walking trails, water park, winter storage for RVs & boats, a boat launch & semi-rustic Potomac riverside cabins.nSaw only a few birds, other than seagulls & limited number of songbirds. We encountered too many dogs with a good number off leash against park regulations. Did not understand all the deer consistently hanging out along the golf course close to playing golfers near the park entrance.nOne Anoying park rule is not allowing seniors & families with children to enter into or park in the closest to the river parking lot on weekends, but rather reserving the closest to river parking spaces for vechiles pulling boat trailers to park there usually for long periods, when after launching boats, they could easily park in the rear lots allowing the park to be more user friendly for park guests who do not have boats; seems an easy park regulation to amend to benefit the majority of park guests.

Lots of places to mountain bike, walk, jog and just enjoy nature without a lot of people.

Always a true JOY! Amazing nature right at your fingertips! Also, this park is home to many deer. The deer are very very friendly and they live in the park, so please be delicate. They frequently drive up to the cars and trust people at the park, so be careful and also don't scare them. If you're lucky, you can usually feed them. Beautiful park, been coming here since I was 10 years old!

We had a fun family day of fishing with our 3 yo. Afterwards we stopped at the play area where my son loved playing in the sandbox.nOnly complaint is the lack of restroom facilities by the boat launch area. I had to drive to a complete different area for my son to use a restroom. An outhouse would have been useful.nOn a positive we were there on labor day and even though it was quite busy there was plenty of space to social distance and feel comfortable being outside with a large number of people.
