Great outdoor activity! Visit at your leisure pace. Lots of trails and natural falls. Pack a lunch and enjoy nature at its best in their large picnic area not far from the parking lot. The overlooks are beautiful however only one is wheelchair accessible. Trails are wide and smooth making it easy for those that may need it. Only 1 vending machine and the visitor center is currently closed so bring your own drinks/snacks. Parking is at 1/2 capacity and mask are required.
Fall was good and we were lucky that climate today was also very good. First we have been to north riverside trail and then to overlook point 1/2/3 which has become perfect plan for us because we have cover more walkable path first and then we have been to overlook points which was very near to information center. View and photos came quite good in evening time at around 4-5 pm. Our kid also enjoys a lot there.
A hidden gem in the middle of a concrete jungle.
It is a natural park that is very suitable for recreation with friends or family. And the waterfall is very beautiful and amazing. a little idea that we usually do if we go there, it's best to come early in the morning so you can really breathe in the fresh air while listening to the roar of a flowing waterfall, a great place for yoga in the morning. then you can bring food for lunch with your family, there are lots of benches or you can bring a picnic mat. what a wonderful place to enjoy a weekend with the family. But don't forget to keep clean if you bring food or trash so that nature remains beautiful.
Great Falls has been my go-to destination throughout my life. Long ago we hung on the cliffs when I was a teenager. I brought my wife here on our first date. We brought our children here for the view of the falls and the Billy Goat Trail. I love this place on both sides of the river. It’s inspirational.
