Stupid parking rules. Make sure you read the little bitty signs or you'll get a $25 ticket. I'll do my best to avoid using that train station and paying any more money to the city of Fredericksburg then I have to

I arrived here via Amtrak after missing my VRE due to lack of instructions in D.C. I paid for an brand new ticket to make it to my destination. Upon arriving at the Fredericksburg VRE station I had to hold the hand rails because the steps were slippery exiting the train. My hands ended up being black! I looked around and there was no bathroom nor places to sit as I waited for my ride. I can understand no bathroom but no seats either?nnOverall the stop at Fredericks VRE was ok. It is simply that, just a stop. I wouldn't arrive to early or will just be standing and waiting.nnI hope I can reuse my missed ticket since I missed the train.

Its nice to have free parking here, but the crime rate is high.

Preferred means if commuting. Trains are normally on time or close. Much more predictable than traffic going south (home) in the evening.
