Holiday Inn Express Fredericksburg Southpoint

Very clean and quiet for my newborn son to sleep. We checked in from out-of-town for a wedding and were very happy with our stay.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was beautiful and clean. Super comfy bed!

We reserved a king sized bed and got a queen, which was very uncomfortable as well as the pillows. There were no loading carts available. No hot breakfast on weekend. Elevator broke on our end of the hallway. Had to walk all the way to the other side.

Room was clean. Pool was open until 11 rather then 10 although it was a bit cloudy looking water and very cold to be indoor pool. Didn't see much about a breakfast. No vending on the floors except drinks. No way to lock doors on inside of room when you walk out. My fiance and 4 year old was sleeping. I stepped out to the car for a cigarette and my child woke up to potty like she's recently mastered. She saw I was missing and walked out to hallway. Again one would think the door would lock on the inside too when going out of it. Hey mom never heard her bc she was sleeping after long day of walking DC. Long story short my daughter freaked out and neighbors hot front desk to get my child. Although thankful beyond belief in these people for getting my child their rudeness was uncalled for. Yes my child was naked she was using the potty. Yes she was upset but the lady upfront refusing to give her back to me until the police arrived was insane. Obviously the police searched all my stuff and room and saw the simple mistake. What kind of hotel door doesn't lock on the inside too when you walk out?? Won't stay again. Lady at front desk if you read this God bless you for your poor judgemental self after hearing the obvious story of what happened really at the fault of your own hotel. Neighbor across hall if you wanted to be a tough guy you should've came back over after I was back upstairs. Otherwise run of the mill slightly overpriced hotel
