The stream part of the loop follows Roaring Run up to the waterfall. There are several points where you could get to/in the water. Lots of good places for pictures too. The waterfall itself is not the most spectacular but worth seeing.nThe woodland part of the trail is not as enjoyable at this time of year, but does pass the old furnace which is interesting. Note that this is only a short walk from the parking area if you prefer to follow the stream both ways.nBe aware that the trails may be muddy and slippery. There are some high steps along both parts of the loop but particularly leading up to the waterfall.

Great hike. Not too difficult. Beautiful for pictures. Easy to find.

This place was amazing. The forest scenery, the stream/rapids exceeded our expectations. Very cool trail with bridges. We went after a rainy day and the stream was very full and fast. The end of the trail had gotten flooded, but it was an adventure. The iron furnace was interesting as well.

Its a nice trail following the stream. Along the way. There are many falls. With Covid, the US Foresty Dept closed the bathrooms. There are no stores or gass stations for miles away. Visitors should plan appropriately.

A nice walk along the waterway. Enjoyed the hike with my grandsons. Weather was perfect. We took the shorter loop.
