We stayed at Small Country Campground twice. The first time was April 2020 we had to reschedule our arrival date several times because of the job. When we were finally able to go they had a space for us. Then we went back in October 2020 they didn’t have a space available so they put us on the list, we kept looking but, really wanted to stay at Small Country a couple of days later we got a call that there was an availability and we were so happy. This time my granddaughter was with us, she loved it. They have a park and bounce pad and mini golf. They have a lake with beaches and a pool. There are a lot of activities for everyone. If we go back to the area we will definitely stay at Small Country Campground. Oh they’re pet friendly too. They had a Halloween weekend every weekend in October for the kids. Staff was very nice and helpful. We all loved it.

We totally enjoyed our stay there in the park model. We were there the 1st weekend in March 2021 to celebrate our 30th anniversary and husband's birthday. Great place to relax and enjoy the weekend there. We will be back soon to camp there. .

Best campground in the area bar none. Firstly let me say we work on the road so we have seen our fair share of accommodations. First off the customer service is amazing. The place is very family oriented and it is made known right as you check in. The speed limit is 7.5 mph because there could be children playing. They are very pandemic compliant, masks in the store, staff in masks, sanitizing stations, events also held in compliance. They are also one of the few places I have been to who try to include the entire family not just the young and the adults but the in betweens too. There is dust as I had read, but it is a natural setting so I think that's pretty par for the course. There are quiet hours after 10 pm so the noise is kept to a minimum. There is always an employee out maintaining, cleaning or updating something it is obvious they care about this place. The pool was closed while we were there as it was early spring but it looked large and on the hotter days quite tempting. The bounce pillow, playground and putt putt were all greatly entertaining for my family as well as the lake. There were several pet care stations and an actual bark park separated for large and small dogs. The laundry facility was nice and actually updated without any inconvenience to the guests. Speaking of, the most affordable laundry facility I have been to in a very long long time. The store was well stocked and staff was super friendly, the propane refill station was convenient. The tent sites looked to be large and up to par as well. Honestly this is one of the few places we stayed where they only place we went was the grocery store because there was no reason to leave otherwise. I had read all the reviews before booking here and the general feeling I had was it was a good place, but good is just not a good enough description. This place is AWESOME. We will be coming back any time we are in the area.

I'm changing my review to give the new owners a chance. This place has everything you need camping, hiking, horseshoes, corn hole, bounce pad, swimming pool, mini golf, two sandy beaches for the lake, I mean everything. I travel here every year as I work with Dominion nuclear power and assist with the refuel an maintenance work, I recently had issues last time I was here for to horrible cell phone service where my itinal spot was. The wifi an cable I paid extra for, for a premium spot did not work at all. I missed important calls, couldn't check emails nothing. The service is great on the hill but we was put down the hill. I'm back an down the hill again, no cell phone service, WiFi is hit an miss still an cable tv only works on my bedroom TV. She said they are working on that. I had to cave an go by a cell phone booster which was very expensive but well worth it. My service is great with it. I love the spot I'm in because I'm hidden in the trees an it's quite here. My neighbors are quite and that makes it peaceful as I work 6 twelve hour shifts so I'm in bed by 8:30 pm. I will be back.
