Douthat Park Rd. from the park north has to be one of the worst pieces of pavement in the state. Where else does the state drop a load of asphalt and drive a grader through it. Motorcycles and bicycles have all but quit touring the road as it is uneven, rough and layers crumbling. The mid section has twice the homes since 1980 and some of us have paid fuel taxes for 250,000 miles of use on this road alone. It is absolutely shameful and not a road for tourists and lovers of driving Virginia. And the Governor wants us to pay for the interstates. I'd like to see him ride this road on a bike or in a 'vette. Would he feel shame? He should.
