Best Sunday in a long time. The silence was drinkable and quenched a deep thirst. The forest was alive and pristine. We took Stony Run trail up about 2 miles . The views were breath taking. We could see the mountains and valleys in the distance. I really stared to feel the climb when we got into the 3rd switchback. The sun started going down and the cold started to move in and we decided to turn back. It is a hard hike. Large loose stones all through the trail. Many creek crossings on loose river rocks. Keep yours eyes out for the orange trail markers. Very clearly marked even for a beginner hiker. I will return to Stony Run to finish what I started but maybe not the weekend.

Lots to do here, fishing, trails, biking trails and even horseback trails. You can camp and rent boats. They restaurant wasn't open when we came probably because it wasn't leaking season and Covid but that's a nice option without leaving the campground.

Great place to mountain bike, hike, or canoe around the lake. Also has a swimming area with a lifeguard. I came across small black bears three times in one week, hiking the trails, during my last stay. Very nice cabins. Great place for a family vacation.

Nice area for an outdoor getaway. Nice little lake that has a small beach area and canoe/boat rental. Lots of fishing opportunities. The campgrounds don't have alot of privacy if you like those kinds of camping spots. The bathhouses were very clean and we'll maintained. The showers were individual shower rooms with only a shower and towel bar; no bench. Sinks and toilet were around the corner in the main bathroom. The handicap bathroom was actually very accessable with plenty of space for a wheelchair (wide door and open area inside) and the shower, sink and toilet were all in the same room. Cell service was only on the tip of the hills if you went hiking. The camp store had wifi and a deck where you could enjoy lunch if you packed your own. The restaurant wasn't open when we were there, mid-April '21.
