It looks like all of the bad reviews are about one agent, Jack, who I can’t speak about because I didn’t work with him.nnWhat I can say is that I had a great experience with JLRE. I worked with Joyce and her assistant, Meghan. They helped me find the apartment of my dreams. Joyce handled negotiations with the other brokers and was so informative and communicative in the process that I could rest easy knowing her and her team had my back. She knows what she’s doing and clearly cares about the quality of work she puts forth above all else. Couldn’t recommend using her and her services more.

I had an appointment with Jack and he did not show up or answer my calls. I’m not surprised now after reading all of the other negative reviews. Definitely recommend going elsewhere for your apartment hunting needs!

I’d advise anyone to run if this is the listing agency. Not only was the agent (who has a terrible and infamous rep as it is so I won’t even bother naming him) rude, unprofessional, and ignorant, but they are terrible with property management. Had to contact them to get access to my home after losing keys and left VM as no one seemed to be answering phones for over an hour. When I moved into my home, it was covered in holes and other issues the listing agent didn’t give a flying kite about. Terrible reflection on property owners and I almost stopped pursuing the unit because it was all bad. That should speak volumes to future and current home owners - you’re probably losing potential tenants.nnIt’s been days and they haven’t called me back yet, so I’d probably be locked out if I didn’t have other options. They are sloppy and will stress you out.

Where do you start. Mismanaged all paperwork, security deposit and first and last. Jack is unprofessional and arrogant. Wouldn’t give us a heads up when he was showing the apartment. I would never deal with this organization ever.

We have gone to Joyce to assist us in finding an apartment, purchasing a house, and most recently, selling our house. She is hardworking and loyal, and will fight for her clients. When Joyce found us our apartment, she was told it had central A/C. She later found out it didn't have A/C, but she knew that feature was important to us, so she purchased us a window unit. With our house, she knew it was going to be listed before it came on the market. As a result, we were able to see the house and place an offer before anyone else. When it came time to sell, she gave us a manageable list of things to do involving cleaning and staging. We did, and we sold the house before having an open house.nnJoyce is upfront and tells it like it is; she does not sugar-coat anything. This may be a turn-off for some, but we have always appreciated it from her. Bottom line, Joyce knows the South Boston real estate market better than anyone else and will do whatever it takes to get the job done.
