Dr. Rezai and his staff are truly wonderful. Everyone at the front desk is super friendly and helpful and always remember you by name. Dr. Rezai is the most thorough psychiatrist I’ve ever been to. He never rushes appointments and is super careful about his prescribing. He is caring and compassionate. It’s obvious he’s passionate about helping and getting a correct diagnosis. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this practice.

Most physiatrist offices have huge waiting lists, this is why this one is so easy to get into. I was a patient for a couple years and never exactly connected with dr. R. One morning about a month ago I slept through my appointment by mistake. I called right back and no one would even talk to me with out my late fee being paid. This means I went with out my prescription for weeks because I could not afford the late fee at that time. Any other office would have given me at least a sample prescription to hold me over. Nope. I had to go through with drawls form my medication, that was the last straw. I paid my late fee now they won’t stop contacting me.

Dr. R is very caring, I dealt with him for a few months and am now with Allison. Not sure what may have happened but they always call me back if I need them, even when they’re on call on their weekend. They take a different approach to medicine than my previous doctor, which I needed.

When I was referred to TAK it took almost a month for someone to return my voicemail. This should have been my first clue.nA new patient must complete a number of forms before the first visit, I was told this would be mailed to me. I was also told I would receive a confirmation call that I must confirm verbally for a Friday appointment. Two days before my appointment no call received and no paperwork delivered. I called in and was asked to arrive at noon. Being that it was my first appointment and generally arriving 15 minutes early is a curiosity all patients are generally asked to perform.. I arrived at 11:45.. paperwork completed and I’m twirling my thumbs.. 12:25 I am told I could leave if I want because my appointment isn’t until 1:30..nProbably not being the most friendliest way I could be I asked why I was told to come in an hour and a half before my actual appointment.. my only option was waiting in my car as it was a beautiful day and I was moments from flipping my lid.nFinally at 1:45 I’m in the office. Dr. R was not at all caring that I just spent two hours waiting. He was more concerned that i was “easy irritated” and “have some place else I’d rather be.”nBy the end of the appointment everything was fine. We had a decent conversation and he seemed to genuinely care about meeting everyones specific needs and not generalizing and prescribing.. on a personal level I think he believes is always the most important person in the room.nEveryone at reception was nice and courteous. They told me that this was actually the normal process for all new patients.. The doctor however wasn’t sure why they told me to come in so early.. mmhmmmmnnI’m convinced this was a test in my abilities to be patient and composed, I failed..

The negative review and that statement is not true. Staff is wonderful. Dr. Resai goes above and beyond. In my 31 years of dealing with over medication prescribing and such. Dr Resai cares about his patients, he takes the time with every patient. People also need to understand that in that 15 minutes or half hour appointment you must be efficient in getting what you need. Having worked in the medical and mental health field I’ve met several doctors that broke the rule of do not harm. All in all Tak center is excellent. They do not over prescribe or rush you out of appointments. Deena is an excellent medical assistant. All of the women are fabulous to work with. They also offer options for psychological counseling. As well as nurse practitioners available.
