I understand the angst of losing a loved one and I understand the angst of being a cancer patient.n15 months ago I was diagnosed with Stage 4 esophageal/stomach cancer. Prior to the diagnosis, I was ill for six months and my physical state was extremely weak. My first impulse was to blame my primary care physician for not diagnosing this problem earlier. As I looked through eyes that were opening as my mortality was before me, I realized that wasting energy on blame was counterproductive to my health being restored. I let it go and benefited greatly from doing so.nWhen I was diagnosed, I was taken under the care of an outstanding oncologist and an outstanding and caring human being, Dr. Humberto Rossi.nAfter an initial six month aggressive therapy of chemotherapy, I reached a point where Dr. Rossi opened a path of surgery to remove the tumor and possibly cure the cancer. When I investigated the life changing scope of partial removal of my esophagus and total removal of my stomach, I declined.nDr. Rossi did not give up on finding the best available methods to control or possibly cure my cancer. I recently completed a six week aggressive therapy of radiation combined with chemotherapy and should know its efficacy in about a month.nI have the utmost confidence in Dr. Rossi and whatever the future holds, I know he will do his best to get me through this. I’ve made it quite clear to my family that if the illness I’m fighting overtakes me, Dana-Farber, Dr. Rossi and his staff deserve nothing but my utmost gratitude and thanks for a job well done.

My mother heidi childs had cancer. She complained to rossi about more pain and he said dont worry its the chemo. It ended up being the cancer spreading to other areas. She died soon after. He ruined my life.
