Bus Terminal South Station

Excellent terminal 5 stars for cleanliness, no beggars,no homeless people sleeping all over the place, amped up security detail! Friggin awesome experience compared to Grand Central Station NYC.. They should take lessons on how its done right from the Boston Location!! Will never take the Bus again but if all the service experience was as nice and safe as this one place is I wouldn't hesitate THANKS BOSTON YOU CARE AND IT SHOWS!!

Made some new friends on the bus, who traveled along with me fro. Atlanta, GA to Providence, RI.nThere was a delay in New York city for about 6 hours. Innthe busy New York terminal they recognized me and waved to me, as they were talking to a greyhound employee. The employee called me over and asked to see my tciket. Since we were all goin to the same destination, she asked if i could make sure that they made the last exchange in Boston, MA. And board the bus for Providence, RI. Of couse i agreed without hesitation. They couldn't speak English and i can not speak Spanish. So when we had to say something we entered it into Google to be translated.nWe arrived in Boston just in time to see the sun rise, listen the call of the sea gulls, as we could smell the salt water from the ocean..nWe had been on these buses for 30+ hours and I was exhausted. I made a huge mistake and was waitin in the wrong terminal and missed our bus,at 6 am.nThe gentleman working at the ticket booth was such an amazingly kind and understanding person. Within minutes he had exchanged all three tickets for us, for a 8:30 departure. Out of pure generosity he even took the time to walk with us, to another floor and showed us exactly where we needed to be. I wish i could remember his name. Because he didnt have to accommodate us, the way he did. Especially with them not English and me (a stranger to them) answering the questions he was asking them.

This bus station is not bad at all. If you're coming from the train station ( is next to it ) or from the street, you can find it right away.nnThere are some screens showing the departures and arrivals, showing in each case the gate associated with each one. When you head to the circular area, you can find some food stores, restrooms or some ticket booths.nnNear the gates there are a lot of benches to sit down or sleep and wait for your bus, also there's free wifi to make awaiting shorter.nnMy experience was pretty positive there, everything was good and in place.

This is a great station. It's easy to find your train/bus. It's a nice space physically. There are tons of nice little restaurants and stores. I've never had any serious issues here, and I've been using public transport for years. It's cost effective. You can't beat the prices for rail and bus services that run through this station. Just parking and gas in Boston cost more than a round trip train ticket to the farthest stations in MA.

It is my second time at this bus station. The terminals are clean and the bathrooms the same. It's a bit small, but maybe I think that because I come from NYC where the other stations are bigger. The general people who work at this station are very friendly. There are not many food options and I recommend visitors to buy their food in advance.
