I had Shantal and it was the best wax I’ve ever gotten! So professional and clean. She did not waste any time and did a perfect job while being personable! I would highly recommend!

This is the second time I came to this location.. the first time it was good but a bit painful ended up having burns afterwards for about 2 weeks or so. the second time I made sure I read the reviews first and so glad I did because I ended up booking with Shantal and boy was she AMAZING and quick I couldn’t believe it n it’s been a couple weeks and still looks great. If you planning on visiting this location definitely book with Shantal !! You will not be disappointed I promise you !

On 10/14/20 my friend and I scheduled appointments for a Brazilian wax. I arrived at 5:15 my appointment at 5:30. I checked in with my phone as instructed on the door. I was left outside until about 5:45 when the staff person escorted me in) by the way there’s ample space in the waiting area to safely social distance if the chairs placement are rearranged) client should not be asked to wait outside in the cold. Once inside the room, the staff person (I do not know her name because she didn’t introduce herself) told me to hoop on the bed when I’m ready. My confused self asked her again “what would you like me to do”? She said get on the table when you ready. I was forced to get undressed in her presence, she did not excuse herself to give me some privacy, she did not ask me if I wanted or needed to use the restrooms nothing. I’ve been in many spas and have done Brazilian waxes several times before not one time I was asked to get undressed in front of the staff person. I sat on the table after getting undressed in front of her, she didn’t not ask me what style I wanted (if I wanted to leave some hair, a triangle or square) she proceeded to wax everything. She was very fast, with the whole process not holding the skin down after each pull. I felt so rushed and not important. I was my first time there and I was in disbelief how the treatment this spa was so mediocre. She tried to make small talks along the way but I was already annoyed. The Brazilian wax felt so rushed. I again put my clothes back on in front of her as she cleaned and sprayed the surface while I was in the room. I walked to the reception area to pay and the young lady asked me if I was going to pay the tip with my card or cash?! First of all who said tips are an obligation ( I am usually a good tipper) I tip according to the service provided. I this case my first reaction was not to tip but I still left her $5. This is the first time I’ve experienced this type of low service from all the years I’ve been going to spas for facial, waxes, nails and hair. The entire team at South Bay needs some couching. Thank you
