Beautiful little park right on the Rio Grande. Just be careful if you want to brave the waters, they don't call it the Rio Bravo for nothing. Some areas by the shore can be a bit (waist) deep while other areas, like further out, are little islands you can relax on and let the water flow around you tanning it up. If you attract mosquitoes you will not like this place though.

this place has a dark history. if you look up the name La Llorona you will find something very sinister. apart from the unsettling reason that the park exists and rumors surrounding it, its a very nice place during the daytime. during the night however, it is a much more eerie place and you should be aware of your surroundings as it is almost pitch black at night and you wont know who is out there. tbh just go in the daytime

Good flat 10k route... Never happened before and never again - I was jogging along and movement in the grass next to the path caught my eye... It was a juvenile Hawk completely tangled in stick vines. I spent several minutes pulling vines from the down under the wings and it's legs. After most of the vine was removed, his talon gripped my finger, I released his body and away he went. Fly high free bird!!

First time was a couple of months ago. It's a decent park. I saw a snake 🐍 and left shortly after lol. I did have my two year old with me. It's nice to go to with all that's happening this hectic year. The best part is during sunset. So pretty, especially if there is water in the rio.
