have had negative experiences with dentists in the past.  I didn’t go to the dentist until I was in pain.  Dentists didn’t seem to care if I was numb, they continued to drill anyway.  On one visit the dentist pulled the wrong tooth.  You could see when I smiled the tooth was missing.  I was devastated.  I was so terrified of going to the dentist that I had to have an anti-anxiety pill first.  I would have panic attacks even if I was going in for a cleaning.  I had gone to two different specialists in the Grants Pass area and they both told me that I wasn’t a candidate for implants, and that dentures were my only option.  At that point I became so depressed, sad and felt absolutely hopeless.  I prayed and prayed.  Then some friends told me about Dr. Tanner.  I hadn’t found a dentist that actually cared about my comfort level until I came to Dr. Tanner.  Dr. Tanner understood that I was scared.  He didn’t put me in a dental chair right away.  We talked in his office about what my dental goals were, what I hoped to get out of this experience and what he could do for me.  He worked with me on a payment plan. I had hope again.  I didn’t feel any pain when he was doing the work.  He constantly asked me if I was ok.  It was very comforting to me.  Now when I come to the dentist I’m excited.  Everybody here is so wonderful.  Bridget, Nicole & Shelby are so wonderful and kind!  They really care about me.  They know my name and I’m always greeted with a smile and hug.  They are happy to see everybody that comes in.  Now going to the dentist is like going to visit friends.  They gave me back my smile.  Dr. Tanner literally saved my life.  I even take my children see Dr. Tanner.   If anyone has ever been told that you can’t have implants, make sure to see Dr. Tanner!  I would definitely recommend Dr. Tanner”.

I don't see how dental care could be any better. Amanda is the best Hygienist I've ever had work on my teeth and mouth. I come back every 6 months and look forward to it. This helps me also to get other dental care when I need it. I'm very sad to find they are closing the GP office. I will try to follow Amanda where ever she winds up. I was born with a cleft pallet. I have had multiple procedures and surgeries and really didn't like going to the dentist. I got lucky when I came to Dr. Tanner’s office. They worked with my insurance and came up with a payment option that worked for me. Dr. Tanner extracted some teeth, gave me 7 dental implants and built me a speech appliance. All this was done without any pain. Dr. Tanner even called me in the evenings to make sure I wasn't in pain. His staff is wonderful. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Tanner and his whole office staff. I think they are outstanding. Nothing beats this office! Anyone who asks me who I recommend for a dentist I always tell them to see Dr. Tanner.
