It is quite handy to have basic information regarding real property available online. That much is appreciated. But it is bare bones info. Look at Jackson County's website and you can see what is possible. Square footage per floor, number of baths and bedrooms. Permitted improvements and more. That would be the gold standard.

I called to have them check on a clerical error that recently occurred about my property taxes being double paid because of a refinance and they were extremely helpful. I was impressed with how quickly it was handled. Debbie called me right back after checking on it.

Closed on Friday, closed on Mondays holiday 4 a 4 day weekend most of us tax slaves don’t get!nTo top it off, I’m told I can’t handle my property tax contest by mail or by phone.nnHint to the Goobermint tax vampires in Grants Pass;nnSome of us don’t live on our property full time and can’t come in to the office to fill out paperwork that should be available on line, in this techno savvy age!

Rude would be an understatement for these people. They are government employees and they don't have to treat you with any sort of decency or respect, and they are quick in their bad attitude to let you know it. There is apparently an older lady that answers the phone, and she can't multitask at all. She basically tells you to shut up if she is busy with another task.nDaniel the head assessor is a soft spoken guy who also is short on patience..its as if you are interrupting them and how dare you....so much for being public servants.. what joke. . You must cater to them, otherwise you will get no where.
