If I could give their service 0 stars, I would. We ordered our floors at the end of October. This was over $2500, not including the $1100 labor charge to be paid once the job was done. Total amount being a little over $3600 paid into this company. We had painters who started working on 10/31/18, so we told Chuck (the owner) to hold off on putting the floor down until around the 2nd week of November. At the time of purchase, we also told him that we would love to have this done before Thanksgiving. His words, “no problem”. The painters finished around 11/06 and I texted Chuck and informed him of this. He then proceeded to tell me that the floors we had originally ordered were on backorder and I should order another floor to insure it came in on time. We reluctantly did this, but was satisfied with the 2nd choice. He told us the floor would be in on the Thursday (before Thanksgiving) and that he would be in contact with us to put the floor down before Thanksgiving. I didn’t hear from him until around Monday when he said he would get to it by Wednesday. I felt like that was cutting it short, however gave him the benefit of the doubt as he said while purchasing the floor that they could have it knocked out within 5 hours or so. (Meanwhile it was over an 800 square ft space) I chose to believe that because he was a professional. Nevertheless, got home from work on Wednesday evening and 2/3 of the living room was complete, a few strips running through the kitchen and nothing done in the dining room or hall. Texted him and asked if it would be done by tomorrow (Thanksgiving) and he said yeah, he could do that but his helper got into a wreck. So Thursday morning rolls around and he said, well sorry you’ll have to find another place to have Thanksgiving!!!!!! Ok, so I have people coming from out of state and all over Kentucky and I can’t have Thanksgiving in my home due to his procrastination. Getting fed up, I texted him back and explained that this was unacceptable. He then offered to come in Friday and at least complete the living room and kitchen. He did this and then offered to put down baseboards free of charge (other than materials) for his screw up. He said he would get all of that done the following week. So, here we are in the middle of January, my baseboards aren’t laid, I’ve tried contacting him several times to finish the job and I get no reply for over a week, to where I have to text him again. All and all not happy. I understand that sometimes you can’t meet the expectations and deadlines of customers. But I have given him the benefit of the doubt for over 3 months now and it’s wearing thin. So, I suppose the only way to get what I have been promised and to get the job done is to hire someone else to do the job, which then leads to me paying more money or take him to small claims court to get my money back.nnAll and all.... wouldn’t recommend to anyone! They do great work, but it’s getting them there to do it that’s the difficult part.
