It's a fairly long drive in to this place. About 23 miles in and then another 23 back out. The views are great and there are restrooms. The visitor center itself was closed when we were there but there are informational boards outside. The views alone are worth it and, you get to drive over a dam!

Currently the visitors center is closed due to COVID-19, but the parking lot is open and plenty of people travel up this dead end road to ride in the jet boats on the river. We didn’t do the jet boats on this trip due to the concerns of limited social distancing options on the boats. The views of the area are amazing in the canyon up here. Well worth the trip up the road.

Very nice replication of the Oregon Trail, and the relation of the settlers/immigrants with the native American Indians.

We arrived via age boat excursion from Pittsburgh landing; River Adventures in Rigins. I highly recommend this trip by River Adventures.!
