For McCall being such a family friendly place, I was dismayed to see the tight regulations on dogs here. My pup loves playing on the beach and in the water and there are signs everywhere that dogs are not allowed on the beach. I get it with cleaning up, but the vast majority of us who travel with dogs, are the folks that clean up after them. This is such a nice little lawns area and sand beach, cool place to take the kids to run around a bit. Just really wish the pup could do the same.

The view is incredible with a very nice beach with a protected swim area, sand volleyball court, splash pad and immediately next to downtown McCall and two marinas. My only downside is the sand beach becomes rocky quickly once you wade in. I recommend water shoes here. About a hundred yards west is a smaller park and beach called Bear Park that is sander bottom with docks to jump off. If you want some great ice cream, I recommend Sasquatch Sweets immediately next to the park on the corner.nnIn the winter, Legacy Park is a popular sledding destination. During Winter Carnival, last weekend in January through first weekend in February, there are some of the best fireworks anywhere on both weekends.

Fun park with great views. In the winter people sled down the hillside. It is a nice place to take your pets for a walk, but do not take them down to the beach, there is are no pets allowed on the beach. The bathrooms are really great and a nice touch (very comfortable).

Such a perfect public park. In the summer it’s a sandy beach on the lake in the winter it’s a great sledding hill for the little ones. Brundage ski mountain is visible on the horizon. And there’s room for everyone.

Beautiful... came for the Thanksgiving weekend and the whole family absolutely loved it! Very friendly people and easy access to the towns little gift shops and ice cream parlor and cute little candy shop..
