Couldn't have chosen a better school for my undergrad. Beautiful campus, intriguing and challenging coursework + club opportunities. Home to the best marching band north of the south pole.
Handled pandemic super poorly. Started charging more and offering less services. As a homeless student I heavily relied on these services. After finding out I was homeless, they offered free stay at the dorms. This quickly turned into taking out a loan to pay them. Not comfortable taking out the loan because I had COVID and was falling behind in my classes. Knowing this they offered me the most useless degree possible because my military benefits were running out. They went on to suggest that I use the wifi available at school to complete classes instead of helping me find housing. Should have just stuck to construction. Then I wouldn't be a homeless veteran. Thanks UNR.
UNR has a beautiful campus. I loved my years as a Graduate student here. They've done several upgrades to the buildings on campus as well which has made it an even more wonderful place to be.
This institution is disorganized. They supposed to give me back my grants from fafsa, but they rather charge me for the classes. One of the transfer specialist never answered me back by email and calls. The advisors didn't direct in a good way. I think they only care about themselves getting paid without caring for their students to succeed. The professors were helpful and caring that's the only one good thing about U.N.R.
Truly a beautiful campus and terrific staff and faculty. Even prettier with a little snow!
