Disclaimer: we did not use the gas station itself but explored the surrounding area while charging our eV.nnThe porch area between the gas station and the convenience store was inviting with seats and tables. There was also a stack of firewood upfront. The store offered a good selection of food, beverages and even clothing. We even found small gloves for our toddler. They were a steal at $2.99.nnThe nearby playground was covered by snow. It looked quite inviting with the swings and all the picnic tables; for summer time. The view of the lake was stunning.
Anybody crossing the state line from California will go 'Wow!' on the gas prices... but what's more impressive is the chocolate they sell. I'm Belgian born, I know chocolate, and just their whole chocolate counter is worth stopping for.nnDid I mention that they have have nice staff and clean bathrooms as well?

Woman who works night shift is insanely rude. Apparently in Lake Topaz manners are optional. Will certainly not be recommending Lake Topaz to anyone.
Tried to use the grocery rewards, it froze when it asked if I wanted $.20/gal off. I had to go in to cancel it and start over. Then it froze again asking if I wanted a receipt and I had to go in again. The explanation I was given was that they have had a problem with the system for longer than she’d worked there and no one wants to fix it.
