My husband has had the worst time dealing with these people. Make sure, if you’re taking care of your business over the phone, that you get the persons name (which they are not apt to giving when you call, you MUST ask for it) and some sort of confirmation you spoke to someone. Otherwise, it would seem someone can take your name and social security number but not record your conversation at all. That seems like sensitive information to just give and then be told there is no record of you giving it.
