Want to learn more about wolves? Maybe meet one? Wolf spirit are very knowledgeable about the animals and many of the tours give you the opportunity to meet a wolf ambassador! And when I say meet, I mean up close and personal without any fences getting in the way. If you have any interest in wolves, you have to visit!

I was lucky enough to get a chance to visit this beautiful sanctuary in late winter several years ago. My friend had reason to be in the general Albuquerque area and asked me to join her for a few days. I planned our daily outings and WSWS was at the top of the list to visit. On the day we ventured over, it was a mixed bag weather day, and we almost turned around, but preserved on. I'm so glad we did. We were the only guests and took the last tour. It started snowing pretty steady as we began our tour. The wolves were incredibly gorgeous in the fresh snow. They looked happy too. We met some other critters who live there as well. We learned about why these animals were there, and were so sad to hear about any of them ever being mistreated in the past. Knowing they are now getting the best of care in their forever home by the kindest loving devoted individuals is the Best we can hope for them. Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary is an Incredible place to visit and so are the wonderful caring individuals who donate time and or $ to help these beautiful creatures who cannot return to the wild.
