Pagosa Springs High School

I graduated there back in 2015 but i had friends and a sister who informed me that nothing had changed. In short don't go here if at all possible. check out other options like online schooling. The curriculum does not prepare you for college especially if you are going for in the deeper fields of sciences and the like. Most of the teachers do have obvious favorites. If you are one then you are basically guaranteed as much help as you can offer. If you are not you have to scrounge out your own answers or pester them.nThis school is a good place to learn the arts. There are a good number of theatrical opportunities offered by the school and the community and even though this is after my time, I hear that the new studio arts teacher is amazing and teaches a broad range of different mediums. Mr. Downing and and Ms. Riggs are also exemplary teachers. Mr. Downing makes English fun and Drama class interactive. He was known for bringing his banjo to school and using the oddity to get his student's attention or just to make a boring subject less so. Ms. Riggs wrote really good notes on papers and speeches that if taken into consideration offered improvement to her students. She also is a very fair teacher who will give her students the time they need to improve. I don't know what else to say about the school tho. It's very disappointing when you to to college after and you hear everyone else talking about all the things their schools offered and you compare it to wheat you had. I guess you can't blame the school too much, budget is a thing.nGranted it has been five years since I graduated so there have been some changes. A lot of what I said is also based off of people who have experienced it more recently, however. If you want to go there don't just be satisfied with what the school offers. Go your own extra mile.

Just skip this highschool. Most of the good teachers have left. It's unfriendly very poor quality. We tried it several times they teach down to students not at all towards bringing up to a better quality. If you want them taught by a chrome book this is your school.

Attended a concert. Don't know much overall about the school but the performance auditorium is really nice.

This place is absolutely horrible I have been to schools all over the nation and this is the most unprepared chaotic. If you send your child here you are kondeming them to a future without proper education. In the year I went her I never had a proper teacher. The one good part of this school is Mr Downing and mis Cristiasen.
