The Local Girl's Guide to Oahu is a must for anyone interested in finding the hidden gems of Honolulu and Oahu. The Guide is well organized, a fun read and covers everything from beauty shops to hole in the wall restaurants favored by locals. Donna's research is extensive and her frequent trips to Hawaii ensure that the information in the Guide is always up to date. I used the Guide several times on my last visit to Honolulu and was never disappointed.

I'm Hawaii-born but have been living on the mainland for many years. I used the guide and tried out places I'd never been to and might not have discovered on my own. Every one was great! The guide saved me a lot of time and effort and I'll definitely use it for my next trip.

We have been to Hawaii many times but did not realize how much we were missing until we used the Local Girls Guide to Oahu. The guide is fun to read, very thorough and covers everything from small groceries, Food Trucks, “hole in the wall” establishments, as well as, special occasion restaurants. The guide also is essential if you venture out from Honolulu to the North Shore. This guide is definitely a go-to resource if you want to experience the real Hawaiian food scene. If you “live to eat” like we do… Local Girl’s Guide to Oahu is a MUST HAVE!

Local Girl's Guide to Oahu was wonderful for our trip. It was great to have tips about what to eat and where to go. We used the guide more than any other, especially for eating -- and we ate very well. Even though we stayed in hotels, they all had refrigerators, so we used the guide to buy things for breakfast and lunch and sat out on our balcony watching the ocean. Heavenly.

BUY THIS GUIDE!! You will not be sorry! We made use of this very helpful guide both in Honolulu and, on two days with car, in other parts of the island. The new grouping of restaurants by neighborhood in HNL is especially helpful if you're walking or taking public transit. The recommendations for restaurants, bakeries and trolley/bus lines were right on. Thanks, Local Girl!
