Mail at your own risk!! I mailed 15 Christmas cards from the boxes in front of the post office and not a single card arrived. The boxes were clearly open with cars in front and behind me mailing their own items as well. It has been a month now and none were received and none were returned. From reading other reviews I can see that theft is a BIG issue. I learned the hard way as some of my cards had gift cards in them. Never again will I mail from this post office & will be sure to insure any cards w/gift cards in the future.

They raise the price of a stamp and close an in person customer service window. The raise the price of PO Box's and cut the access days and hrs in half! Every employee is beyond RUDE! The post box rentals were fantastic! 24 hrs a day 7 days a week even holidays I could acess my mailbox. On my time when it fit my schedule. NOT ANYMORE! Not only have they cut hours for PO box acess they have raised my price every 6 months for 4+ years. I understand a slight increase as time goes on. I started at $43 or $48 for 6 months, it then went up gradually to $59. 6 months ago I paid $59 plus a $23 late fee on less than 24hr late (even though there 24hr payment kiosk was locked and unavailable.) Nonetheless w/o the late fee I paid $59 for 6 months, my renewal is now $73 for 6 months! And for what? NOTHING! NOT A DARN THING! Actually for far less. 24 hrs access is FALSE! Now its during regular hrs. 7 days a week access WRONG! Now its closed on Holidays. And limited hrs on weekend and last I was there Sundays were closed. Gov. Website, Actual Location website, even Door/windows All have different hours. Even the pic here says 24hrs on box acess. And NO Covid has NOTHING TO DO W/ IT! The hrs changed before Covid. Common sense would be more contactless access to my mail box 24hrs a day 7 days a week. Instead they raise the price and force me to go when there is a line out the door and people scattered all over. In the 4+ years I went to get my mail (11pm 2 am 4am female & by myself) NOT once did I run into a single person or problem! Not EVER! And since they stopped 24hr access the area has been the filthiest I've ever seen it! Even when homeless slept inside it was cleaner. So the homeless people making cleaning in the morning hard & the excuse for limiting access and forcing me to be around others when it's 100% preventable is Bull! And there is NO other 24hr locations in or around my city despite what the website says. I'll spare you the frustration in the way they pack my mail.

They are really kind, I went to two different employees and they both were very helpful and gave me advice on what to do to save money on getting packages delivered.

They really need to update their hours. The door flat out says the Lobby hours are 24 hours for PO. Boxes, self service mail, and drop offs. Yet at 5:10am on a Wednesday morning, the door was locked. Take the 24 hours off the door then! Ugh....

This is my second complaint regarding stolen mail. I am so disgusted by the never ending theft at the Escondido, CA 92026 post office. Two years in a row, my vehicle registration stickers were stolen. Now a thick envelope fortunately did not contain a gift cards, but equally important, a wedding announcement, pictures of the bride and groom, etc. This location must be monitored and the corrupt employee (s) terminated. I am so fed up wondering if I will receive my mail or not because the POSTMASTER cannot do something about the crimes being committed at this location.
