Gophers destroyed my garden last year. I tried castor oil in the holes. I tried flooding their tunnels with the hose. I tried low frequency emitters, which were really annoying hearing them all the time. Nothing worked. I didn't feel comfortable using poison because of the risk of my children or dog getting their hands on it some how. The price that I paid covered 3 treatments for a 30 day period.
