Ultra the Nightclub

My wife and I went to ultra last night for the first and last time. Everything started off as expected, until we arrived at the metal detector were everything become questionable. When we first came in we were asked to pay the cover and also to check our belongings in. I had a jacket and a hat on but I was allowed to keep my jacket but I had to check my hat in. After checking my hat I made my way to the metal detector were the night began to go weird. So I walked through the detector and nothing went off but the employee at the other end of the detector gave me an offer I had to turn down. He told me if I wanted to wear my hat inside I had to give him $20. I told him I just paid $3 to check it in now I have to pay $20 to check it out?? I told him I was all set. Throughout the night I saw a few guys with hats on and assumed they took the $20 offer. On my way out the lady checking coats was no where to be found and so was my hat. I talked to one of the bouncers and they offered my wife $30 dollars for a $60 hat. At the end of the night all the bouncers surrounded my wife and I and told us to leave.nDon't go to Ultra, they employ a bunch of thugs. The Coliseum is a much better place.

Ive been going to Ultra for years and it looks the same as it did 8 years ago. They need a renovation. Other than that, the music is good and the drinks are fair.

It's nice on the inside, but if you don't want to leave in a bodybag. Don't go!

Best Hip Hop Club in the city. Always have a great time when I visit. The staff is pleasant and helpful. (Not to mention smoking hot bartenders) The sound system and DJ's are amazing. You must get to this club if your in the city.

I don’t use this word but ratchet sums this place up properly. The only upside is the drinks aren’t too expensive and the bartenders make them strong. Until I got choked by a bouncer and basically dragged and thrown out. Was simply requesting for my ID back from the bartender and she made me wait 30 minutes ! While she made drinks for like 10 people. So I got loud asking for my card and the bouncer just came over and was trippin so I dished it back and he attacked me lol dudes are bums
