Johnston Public Works Department

This department is terrible non responsive to taxpayers, no website with emails or phone numbers for town citizens to contact dept heads. Big black hole. Very disconcerning when you have an issue that needs to be resolved. All town departments are the same way. The website has no email addresses or phone numbers. No way to run a municipality.

The town of Johnston is full of excuses for their deficiencies. Spoke with town hall, that said the bins needed to be paid in cash, then they direct me to call the Public Works for confirmation. One woman doesn't know, and connects me with the phone to the only lady working downstairs (she doesn't pick up because she actually working).nnGet cash at the bank, drive over. Needs to be in a check since a previous employee was stealing, and since it was 11:20, I need to get back before 12, as the town gets an hour lunch...lovely.nnGo back to the bank for a check, stopped by town hall on the way, and the mayor's receptionist couldn't have cared less about this issue. The woman at public works was very nice, she was tied up with the landfill that is our local government.
