Could not be happier with our new solar panels from POWERHOME Solar! Everyone has been so kind, helpful and knowledgeable from our salesman Chris to the team of 8 who did the installation. They made complicated processes easy and kept us informed at every step. So very excited we made the switch to solar!
36 Panel ground mount with dual converters! Crew stayed professional during the 2 day install. No issues at all! I highly recommend Power Home Solar. It was nice to finally find a contractor that was courteous and answered all of my 2 million questions with a smile on their face. I felt appreciated as a customer. Thank you all for the hard work! This old house was not an easy install!
still fresh at solar I just had it finished installed two days ago. so far so good
Saleswoman was very knowledgeable and not pushy. The product sold itself. One misunderstanding I had was I thought that with a battery backup I could power my entire house when the panels weren’t producing power. (Cloudy day or at night). Turns out that the 8kwh battery can only power 2-3 breakers by itself during when no other source of power is available. If you want more powered you can upgrade the size of the battery. There also seemed to be a disconnect between what the saleswoman write down and what engineering drew up for plans. I know the saleswoman had it right because she actually saw the location and we talked about placement of the battery. Not a big deal but I tried to get it straightened out before the install but it did not happen. My main breaker box was depicted in wrong location. But once the install crew showed up they saw what needed to be down. Install took two days. Not a problem. Install went smoothly and the crew was very nice and cleaned up. I received several customer service emails but they never really helped me resolve the engineering problem. I can’t wait to start selling prior back to to power company and using my own electricity. Thanks PowerHome.
The sales rep quoted me an average of $100/month in savings on my electric bill. 1 year later, and I save an average of $0/month. Attempts to resolve with customer service result in promises of a return call with solutions. The call never comes. This has been happening for months. Staff is friendly and professional, but produce no results. Its all just lip service to get you off the phone. Im now considering legal action, but options are limited. There is currently a class action lawsuit against them, so they have updated their arbitration agreement to prevent anyone else from suing.nnBuyer beware. This will cost you around $20k and will yield nothing in return. The panels are essentially for decoration, and once you sign up, there's no way out.nnI'm sure someone will reply to this review saying they will reach out to me to resolve this, but I'm not holding my breath. I've already heard this several times.nn*UPDATE 9-11-2020*nI have been offered reimbursement for 4 previous payments, as well as 4 upcoming payments while they analyze the productivity of my system. I have been told that we will determine the next steps after data is gathered from now to December. Ill keep you posted. Ive added 1 star for the effort. Ironically enough, I received my electric bill today. Although the app says my system generated 527Kwh in the month, my bill still showed 200Kwh more than the same month last year when I didn't have the panels. For this information to be accurate, I would have had to use about 700Kwh more this month than I did this time last year, a feat im pretty sure isn't even possible. Especially when I haven't done anything different.
