The traffic police in Mentor is a joke. They are supposed to enforce the law and safety of the roadway but are the ones breaking the law and making it hazardous just to get their quotas for the month. I was driving one night through Mentor doing the speed limit and all of a sudden a cop follows me and tries to get to make a traffic violation by tailgating me and shining his spotlight on my car blinding me the entire way down Mentor ave to the point I had to pull into a private parking lot to get him off my tail and to refocus from the bright lights.nnThe only reason I believe I didn't get stopped was because he saw I had a dashcam. This particular department is known for giving out false tickets and has a pattern of doing questionable acts.nnGo chase real crime instead of trying to create crime out of those obeying the law. You have plenty of thieves, drunks, drug dealers and junkies in Mentor.
